The “Feria de la Tapa” (Tapa Festival) comes to Valencia for second time. This second edition of the gastronomy festival will take place in the Tinglado number 2 of the Port of Valencia (Marina Real Juan Carlos I) from 15th to 18th September and is sponsored by Mahou Clásica beer.
During the event 25 hotel managers will show 75 small culinary creations to taste, there is a great variety of Tapas being representative of local gastronomy.
Every hostel chef will offer three different tapas. Price: 1,20 euros/ tapa and 1,20 euros/beer Mahou. The Tapa Festival 2011 will also offer activities such as courses for serving beers, Spanish ham cutting and beer tasting.
The last day, Sunday 18th September the Tapas competition will end at 20:00 pm when an expert jury, among them the Spanish Champion of 2011 Chefs, Evaristo Miralles, will award the best culinary creation of the Festival assessing things such as: innovation, design, ingredients and taste.
In this Second edition of the “Feria de la Tapa 2011” it is expected to surpass the attendance record, last year 33,400 people tasted over 143,000 tapas and beers.
